MessageOur best friend, Harley, our german shepherd of 11 years, has his hind leg amputated 11 days ago when it was apparent that he had a tumor that had spread rapidly in his bone. I did not wait on the biopsy to ask for the amputation when we were given a lungs clear from the radiologist. I feared that waiting even a few more days would not give us a second chance. We do understand that this potential cancer could have micrometastisized already and are praying that the amputation followed with lots of love, prayers, and possibly some chemo. will give Harley time a tripawd and an inspiration to those who may be hesitating on aggressive therapy. I lost my black lab to cancer 15 years ago and I pray for all of you who are loving your best friend through this terrible disease. You can do it though and make those days the best days ever! We will pray for you on Sunday ~ Harley, Julie, Mike and Oliver
