| Message | We had to say goodbye to a member of our family today, our faithful dog Rex. He was the best dog anyone could hope for, a loyal companion and best friend. With a heavy heart we put him to sleep, instead of pursuing painful options like surgery or radiation that would have kept him with us for a few more months at best. The sadness for our family is overwhelming, but we find comfort in knowing he is peaceful now and no longer struggling for breath. Rex was having stomach problems a week ago, and was just diagnosed on Tuesday. His health declined quickly, and we stayed by his side to keep him as comfortable as possible. Our vet kindly gave Rex the drug Prednisone for a few days, so he was able to eat a few last meals of his favorite deep dish pizza. The drug gave him some strength to move about on his own, and we appreciated the time to say goodbye. The animal hospital St Francis provided at home euthanasia, so Rex could pass with dignity and be surrounded by loved ones. Please say a prayer for our dear Rex, and pray for a smooth transition for him into the next life. If you live in the Chicagoland area and are facing a similar tragedy, look into euthanasia at home. | Message | I had a prayer not long ago For Rosco my dog. I'm fortunate he is still here. He has been weak all day and falls over time to time with weakness. Its due to his cancer and he has a tumor that cant be removed. He is anemic also bc of it. He has a tumor in his spleen back in April weighed 4lbs. it was removed with success. But a few months later he has another tumor that has split near his liver. He has been a great dog! he will be 11 yrs old This yr in Aug 1 2012.... He has to sleep with me every nite. We need a prayer for him that he gets his strength back and able to get around and his appitete back. Thank you... I read other storys on here very heartbreaken to see these dogs suffering from sort of cancer anymore and people suffer too bc we love our animals. I pray for others that are sick and thanks again! |

I hope that he finds it in his heart to forgive me. Wait for me in Heaven. I'll keep you in my prayers. You have been my best friend all of these years and I don't know how I will manage without you. | Message | Hi, my dog this morning had an ultrasound and with her enlarged spleen it is most likely hemangiosarcoma. She is the love of my life, I have no children, and it is so sudden, I can't begin to comprehend a life without her. She survived blastomycosis so every day has been special with her. | Message | Our sweet Lexy is 9 years old and recently started limping. She then developed some swelling in her right front leg. We thought she had injured or broken her leg. We were shocked when our vet told us that Lexy had been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. We can tell the pain meds are not really eliminating her pain and we struggle with what to do next. Lexy has nursed me (mommy) thru ovarian cancer and several other life changing events. She has always been a loving and gentle companion. We have a very special bond. Lexy has a sister, a golden retriever, named Hayley. Hayley was just diagnosed with Cushings Disease. Before they got sick Our girls would spend their days running thru the woods together and swimming in the pond behind our house. Lexy loves to ride in the golf cart while Hayley runs alongside. Please pray for Lexy to receive relief from her pain and to not suffer anymore than she already has. Hayley needs prayers to help her adjust to her sister not being able to run and play like they have in the past. Please lift our girls up in prayer. Thank you so much. |
