My name is Zak Marcone and I am a ninth grade student in New York. When I am older I plan to become a theoretical physicist and unlock the secrets of the universe/multiverse. But for now I am doing a physics project on dark matter. I am trying to figure out a way that I could possibly do some measurements on dark matter and then draw some conclusions from that information. I read your article this past month on dark matter and I was fascinated. Do you know of any way that I could measure the warp in the Milky Way and then draw some conclusions from that? If you cannot think of anything, do you know of anything that I could measure relating to dark matter? Also, do you know of anywhere where I could receive and analyze data relating to dark matter? Currently, I do not have any calculus skills so it would have to exclude calculus unless it is a concept that I could easily teach myself.
Thank you so much,
Zak Marcone
P.S. Keep up the good work in Scientific American! |
