| Message | You need to know I am with you on every pedal stroke. I wish I could be riding at your side right now speaking more words of encouragement. I look to you as my example. Keep the focus on the moment for when you are old you will reflect on this great accomplishment. I pray that God would give you his wings to shelter and protect you and that He would give you inner strength and peace to do more than you ever thought possible. | Message | Hi Doug! I saw photos of you earlier today, taken while on your amazing trek, and you were SMILING in two of them! What's that all about? Surely they must have been touched up! I mean, it's been in the hot and humid 90s here in Philadelphia, and I'm driving around in my car with the air conditioning blasting, and I'm not smiling! I have to actually walk 20 feet or so - and sometimes more than 50 feet! - to get from a parking space to where I am meeting people, and that means leaving the coolness of the car's interior to enter the blast furnace of the outdoors, and you don't see me smiling!!! So what's with you smiling as you pedal power your way across America? What are you, the poster child for seeing the best in everything and making the most of every minute? Oh yeah. I forgot.
