| Message | Deena, Such a heart drenching story. You have been through so much. My sister in law at 37 went through lung cancer (non smoker). I saw her sick as you are describing. She is now looking great and back teaching and being herself to 4 kids. Please talk to your Dr. about depression. That is normal in going through what you are going through, but there is medications to control it. Take care of you - so you will be back to you again. Praying for you Sheree from Texas |

| Message | Hi, Deena! My name is Brenda Calhoun. I am a friend of Deborah Cashwell's and a two time breast cancer SURVIVOR! Deborah asked me to contact you and share my story and read yours. I guess we are a sisterhood, a sorority. My blog is on LiveJournal. I'll leave the link at the end of my entry. Some of it I wrote. Some of it my husband wrote. Cancer changes everything...you and your family will never be the same, inside or out. I live in Birmingham, AL and have been married for 33 years. I grew up in Memphis, and we'velived in Colorado Springs and Los Angeles! I have a married son and a married daughter and two grandsons...Gabriel and Cole! Deborah told me you have a grandson named Cole too! No doubt he is a smart and good-looking kid! My Cole is 2 years old (daughter's son) and my Gabriel is 2 weeks old (son's son)! I am the office manager for a timber company and I like to cook and decorate and read. I just re-read this and it sounds dis-jointed, but I didn't quite know what to say. I hope you're feeling better these days. I always keep a little prayer burning in my heart for all us cancer survivors. She has spent the last 15 years as an oncology nurse working with breast cancer specialists and their patients and now it's her turn. I will pray for you tonight when I'm praying for her. | Message | Your website is beautiful. I am drawn to pink. It has been a favorite color for a very long time and now it has a special meaning. I am a breast cancer survivor. Early detection saved my life. I do everything now with a pink ribbon tied to it. I know that the neighbors get tired of looking at all of the pink in my yard but I know that they also understand. Well, maybe not the pink toilet in the front yard! I tell everyone that I lost my breasts not my sense of humor. My husband and I walked in the Breast Cancer 3 day walk. Amazing! I am sorry that you are having a tough time right now. Winter is the season that is for hibernation. Even for us humans. I tend to get the eating and sleeping schedule down really well.  We live in the midwest also so I know that the winter also provides the time to stay in and rest. (I hate that word, rest!) But, it is what our bodies need. I have put you in my thoughts and am sending a sense of warmth and love your way. It is amazing how we can form a wonderful aura around us that is filled with love, concern, compassion and strength when we really need it. I have just started a new blog. It is junkinatbarntiques.blogspot.com. Yea, should have put a few more letters in it, don't ya think? Anyway, stop my way and tell me how you are doing. I know you will only improve!
