MessageWhere do I start? I first saw SAHB on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert in 1976. I was by that time already a KISS and Alice Cooper fan as well as a budding guitarist in my own right. I was instantly taken with Alex's (the entire band actually) stage presence. You couldn't take your eyes off of him. His vocal range was phenomenal and his delivery very unique. I noticed that they were very musical and used nuance in their arrangements. Zal is still one of my favorite guitar players to this day and it saddens me to know that he was so under-rated. The (cover) band I'm currently working with does "Holiday" by Nazareth (which Zal played the solo on) and is my small way of honoring his "Zal-ness"... SAHB will always rock me. Great musicianship, great songs, great stage command. They had it all. Too bad so many didn't get it. Peace...

MessageI first saw SAHB as a SUPPORT act at Cheltenham Town Hall in the early '70's. Alex came on with his hair slicked down and wearing glasses playing his own 'manager'. He and the band were mesmerising, so much so I cannot recall who the headline band were (poss. Mott the Hoople?). After that I saw them at the Reading Festival, Barbarellas Club, Malvern Winter Gardens and Wembley and I completely endorse what has been said many times - SAHB were the greatest live act of the '70's. Keep on rockin'!

MessageI am a newcomer to the music of SAHB. I was truly blown away by the original version of Midnight Moses (which was a song I heard covered by many bands but never heard the original). It is a true shame that SAHB was never as big in the states as they should have been. To all the guys in the band and to former member Zal Cleminson I say cheers and god speed! smilie
