| Message | Hi Mark, Just checking in to let you know I read your latest MRI report. All I can say is Wow! And, I'm feeling unusually inspired to go out and run... Thanks for sharing all you do! It helps all of us. Following a long hiatus, I recently returned to the full time working world. I'm commuting from Dallas to Ft. Worth and still a busy supportive mom to my kids (Megan in Austin & Preston in El Paso) and husband Jess (engr. starting his own consulting business from home). So I've not been as timely with responses to JHH board updates, so if you don't see my response, know that I remain your champion and prayer warrior. Have a great vacation and enjoy every moment! | Message | Well, as you know Mark, my beautiful Danish girl slipped away on the 19th June and was buried today. As I've said on Johns Hopkins though, we would never have got as far as we did if it hadn't been for such caring 'hands across the Atlantic' - but especially yours feller! I think Ane's particular PC variant was never going to stand the test of time, but I also think we did as well we did for her with a combination of information exchange, hard work and sheer belief that she had more time than the medics were prepared to give her. Either way, thank you again Mark and please stay in touch. |

| Message | Dear Mark and Missy, I just talked to Kathy and she said that y'all spent the night with her last night and she told me about this website. I'm sor sorry the PC has come back, but after the way you have beaten this thing so far, I have no doubts that you will continue on in the same way. I am so proud of both of you in the way that you have handled this fight. What heroes you both are! | Message | For some reason I am thinking of you Mark; I placed my sister-in-law on your prayer list months ago (Cathy C.) - She had no insurance but was put on a pc chemo trial (surgery not possible) - She was given 3 months and it has been 8 - PTL. | Message | You really are a beacon of care Mark Birch. Although your work is obviously well appreciated on your site and others in the US, you're becoming a bit of a legend overseas as well. So many people who now contact us for advice on this wretched disease mention some contact or recognition of yourself that I actually feel as proud as if you were one of my own family!
