All the while doing so well in school and in sports... I was so sorry to have missed the reunion that all of you made so memorable and special. | Message | Hello Mark, I'm writing to let you know that I'm adding my name to your prayer list! It saddened me deeply to learn that you have cancer. Back in the day, you knew me as Kathie Klein - we always talked and laughed in the LHS hallways; you were known far and wide even if you don't remember me! In fact - and Deb said it was ok to say this - you WERE the crazy man of your class, and that's a compliment; though Dan Gualteri ran a close 2nd place! I was in the class of 1975, but your class felt like my class too. Ever since Deb told me the story how your "get together" evolved into a class reunion, I have been praying for your healing. In fact, Deb and I went to the same United Church of Christ, in Bayberry, so we know the power of prayer. It saddens me more then you know that someone at your age, and with as much incredible ZEST for life, should have to suffer with this cancer!!! I'd also like to invite you as a friend on FB so that you know I'm praying for you and that I'm just an email or text away. My cell phone is 703-795-3436. Call me any time you feel scarred, worried, happy, lonely, sad, or confused ... that's what "friends" are for. I suppose that being regarded as everyone's 'Daddy' with regard to matters-PC, it goes relatively unnoticed at times that you have your own battles to fight. Either way, you ARE an inspiration to so many - and your reputation's spreading worldwide - but, as we all know, you can only help others if you look after yourself first. God speed buddy. |
