| Message | I just picked up a copy of '84' in a second-hand bookshop (appropriately),and I'm reading it with great enjoyment. I remember seeing the Hopkins/Bancroft movie many years ago, and now I can't wait to see it all over again, (when I finish the book). Hope I can find a DVD of it. My wife has just nabbed the book and has started reading it, and as I am only half way through it at present, there is going to be all "hell to pay", as Helene would have put it! |

| Message | Few days ago, I knew this book form a movie, and were interested in it.Therefore I bought one. Honestly,at first,I didn't buying it,however,now I had already changed my mind.Someone ever said "The most distant in the world is not the light that is fading away. It is the coincidence of us is not supposed for love."It's surely a sad thing,but Helene was luckily enough because she had met a man and had ever learned each other a lot,wherever you are, we are still meant to be, and I am still miss a lot, care a lot,learn a lot. That's love,right? |

| Message | I was given the book 84 Charing cross road from my dad many many years ago. I fell in love with the people instantly. I felt as if I knew them personally. I read and re read it over and over. It's a tatty book now, that lives on my bedside table, ready for me to read again. I adored the film, which I have watched over and over. I know all the words. I would give anything to be able to turn the clock back in time and be in that amazing book shop.what a wonderful book. P.s. I think there is a follow on book which contains letters by Helen but I'm not sure.!!!!! |
