MessageJust watched The Fountain twice in a row. It really made an impact on me. I was feeling down, but then I watched it and after it finished I just quickly walked around the house in circles with no real purpose, entering and exiting the same rooms over and over again, the movie just churning in my mind.
Brilliant job. My favourite movie of all time (its nudged American Beauty from the top spot). Youve greatly impacted my life with this film. Cant thank you enough.
-Dave.
PS, you know how if a film makes you weep (rarely in my case) its usually at the end once youve grown to love the characters? Well I was cryin like a baby by the bathtub scene, and then it was at everything: the tree, the supernova (and lots of other things that I wont say incase I spoil someone). CRAZY!

MessageDarren, your work has been the biggest influence on me. Every kid nowadays wants to be a filmmaker, and i am no exception, but thankfully i had great idols like you to look to so that maybe just maybe if i do make it, i will be able to have a clear vision of what great filmmaking is. i look forward to all of your upcoming work, and you can count on me to see every thing you do multiple times in theatres. Thanks for being an inspiration and my biggest hope is to live up to the standard that you have set for modern cinema.

MessageThe Fountain profoundly changed not only what I think about film, but what I think about life. I will never get tired of watching it.

MessageI just watched the Fountain, on the same day that my Uncle died from cancer.
Thank you for not attempting to explain the inexplicable, for giving us all some thing to think about and not just watch, and for giving us something to watch. It was a proper movie experience - I was lost to it for 90 minutes and feel richer for having seen it. There are few people making movies about people like you do.
Thank you.

MessageThe Fountain is one of the most moving and mentally stimulating films I've ever seen. Thank you, Darren.
As another has already said, don't ever doubt yourself.
