| Message | Just saw your 2009 light display on TLC. I appreciate the thought and artistry you put into your displays. I can tell you are meticulous and a perfectionist like I am. I think your display is the most tasteful and practical I've seen - all the way down to the coordination with the music. As a professional musician, that is one of my pet peeves - music that does not really coordinate with the music played. We've toyed with putting up a animated display like yours for years, but just don't have the yard space. Just wanted to send a note - hope to see what you've got up your sleeve next year. I'm so sorry to hear that things have been more difficult and that you are not able to do the display. Thank you for doing it in the past, and hopefully this year you can have a wonderful Christmas season with your family. I can not imagine the effort something like this must require so please know that we appreciate all that you do and even though you were not able to do the lights this year... especially during this Christmas season, my family wishes you and your family a very Merry Christmas. |

| Message | Mr Vaughn, Hi . My name is Kilroy Watt, my friends call me Killawatt. I work for Collingwood Power and Light. I think we have a problem this year. I understand after 20+years of putting on a spectacular light show for Christmas, I see you are not going to have another spectacular light show this year. Well, that just blows my shorts off. (electric company humor). We at CP&L love selling power and light, and you have been one of our biggest seasonal users in Alexandra. Not only that but your consumption has grown 20 percent each year for each of those 20 years. I guess you just keep adding to your display. Without your consumption this December, CP&L we will not make our numbers. Also, if we don’t have your December consumption, we may have to come out and remove some of the copper power lines we installed over the past 20 years. The lines have more value as copper than the electricity we will sell you. So unless you commit to putting on a show next year, we may have to take actions into our own hands. Thanks for what you do and all the business that you have given us. The neighborhood love you guys. We look forward in seeing your consumption rise next December. Sincerely Mr Watt |
