| Message | Hello to you all, I have many Karen, Chin and Karenni friends here in Australia, and have helped with their resettlement into our Church life, school life and urban living. I help the students do their homework for school and University. I am a secondary school music teacher (B.Ed. Mus) and am also just finshing my training in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second or Other Language). I have been inside Ma La Camp, Ban Don Yang and many Karen villages along the border in the past 2 years. I have a burden for the refugees and IDPs and would love to help with teaching if I can. I will be travelling over to the border again probably in December or January with a team from our Church to help give concerts, kids activities etc. I am also keen to find out more about how I can volunteer for a short period of time to help school teachers. Could you use a teacher for a short term (like a month or two)? I would love to hear from you soon, and will wait for your reply. All the best in training your teachers. I hope I can help one day. Regards, Leanne |
