| Message | As you gain income from using the images of two art works I own, and now also employ your website to advocate seroconversion, thereby misleading and possibly compromising the health of God knows how many young men, a fact I find profoundly depressing, I ask that you also take something else from me: Talk to just about anyone who is over 50, and they'll tell you, in so many words, that the #1 determinant of day-to-day misery versus relative happiness is the presence or absence of health problems. Everyone is dealt a unique hand in that regard, and eventually health will end up mattering more, to many of us, than money and other possessions. And there is no more effective way to stack that future deck against yourself, than to seroconvert. |

| Message | about the Sinterklaas story of 20-11: There is an S&M twist to this Dutch Sinterklaas thing... bad boys get spanked by Zwarte Piet. Good boys may sit on Sinterklaas' lap, which has caused lots of insinuations, of course: bearded old man fondling boys on his lap. I was never that good a boy. I did perform as Santa during a condom campain. Our Zwarte Pieten throwing condoms into bars. Actually, I was wearing chaps underneath my outfit, and very little else. The naughty boys in the bar demanded to see what I was wearing underneath. It was not the usual Sinterklaas visit. We took a tram from one bar to the next, not bothering to buy a ticket. A saint has priviliges. This 'racial' thing is bol locks, even if those black guys were slaves, long ago, which they probably do not represent. The purists really take it far. They also want to ban the name Negerzoenen, which means negro kisses, for a dark brown, blackish treat: a marshmellow cookie , covered in chocolate. As if a kiss by a black guy is bad. We also have Jewcakes - Jodenkoeken. Oh dear. We also have a saying: wie de schoen past, trekke hem aan - meaning in this context: spotting such a 'problem' probably indicates YOUR problem. |

| Message | It's very difficult for a foreigner to understand the Belgian situation: though Brel spoke French, he wasn't a Walloon, because he lived in Brussels! Most of the inhabitants of the Belgian capital may speak French (a reason for which they make part of the «Communauté francophone» of Belgium), they are not living in Wallonia - Brussels is the third region of Belgium with a bilingual covenant, not connected with Wallonia, but surrounded by the Dutch speaking territory of Flanders. Brel considered himself as being Flemish... he said he was a French speaking Fleming. Not easy to understand Belgium, is it? I didn't even mention the third community, that of the German speaking part, which has its own institutions and government. But nevertheless this little country has always managed to compromise without ever one man being killed. Boring when one compares this to the solutions fought for in Northern Ireland, Palestine, the Basque countries... |
