MessageMy hearty congratulations for coming forward to take the fight against corruption. Despite whatever most people may claim that one cannot fight against corruption, I am convinced it is possible to fight and there is a need to fight. When one is transferred six times in six months, this clearly shows how the system has clearly broken down. Recently an infant Kumarswamy of Deve Gowda asked the striking employees to lock the vice chancellor in Mysore. There was no uproar from the intellectuals of Mysore excepting women agitating as though it is just a women's issue. If a Mayawati with no ethical principles can win the election on much despised caste card, you can play wonders with a platform of fighting corruption. Now on I will be looking to news from you to lend my support. Along with few dedicated and concerned freinds I have been fighting corruption in Mysore with some minor success.
I am surprsied that an outright officer like Jairaj did not come forward to support your husband. Have you tried to take the support of retired IAS officers like Chiranjeevi Singh?

MessageI'm posting again. I would like to share my story of how corrupt government officials today rule our lives. I bought a house in Bangalore. SO did the rest of the 800 residents in our complex. During registration of my flat I was asked to shell out a "Misc" charge of 12500/-. So were the remaining 800 residents in my complex.
1 Flat pays 12500/- to 1 Sub-Reg office.
800 Flats pay 10,000000/- ( Ten Crore's ) !!

SO, 1 sub-reg office collected Ten Crore's from One Complex. There are at least 3 complexes I know of which are nearby !

This is Organized Crime. With no bloddy support from any system or organization , citizens have no way to deal with this other than to succumb to it.

Dear Ma'am:

The greatness of what you and your husband are doing is beyond description. The courage, determination, resolve and steadfastness shown is overwhelming.

I saw the previous post say that an article on your work has already appeared in Times-of-India. I am glad to hear that, since that's precisely what I was thinking of doing (somehow). It'd be good if someone can post that article, or a link to it.

I shall call your family sometime this week, to express my support. Unlike the many unfortunate calls of threat that you may have received, I hope many (including mine) calls of support & encouragement, give you further determination.

What touched me the most was highlighting of the fact that inspite of several honest IAS officer "individuals", their effectiveness in sticking to their guns is lost because of lack of support from their family. May God bless your family.

Pranam,
Banibrata Dutta
