| Message | The rules and constitution need to be made public for all GM's to see so everything is clearly documented. Put it on Cdoggs site so everyone can see it, and people can make suggestions as needed. |

| Message | I never knew that Forsberg wasn't drafted... Honestly, why is this such a big deal? Nobody has ever had a problem with what is considered suitable roster players in the years that Phil and Cdogg have been drafting young guys. In fact, everyone has done it except Rob. I did nothing wrong and now a new rule has been made to cover a gap. Thats it, end of story. Rob, can we change the rule implementation to after the Jan mid? |

| Message | Any rules on who these forwards, goalies or dmen can be? I saw this awesome 10 year old kid at twin rinks on the weekend who would look good on Cam's forward lineup. Is he eligible? I appreciate Rob trying to quickly end this situation, but some more detail in this rule needs to be stated. All roster players need to be drafted or property of an NHL team to be considered FHL roster worthy? That would cancel out Forsberg. |

| Message | Rule - every fhl team will have a minimum 12 forwards, 6 d men and 1 goalie at all times during the NHL regular season calendar. Any opposed? Implemented Jan. 1 GM C Dogg - I only have a hard copy of the original rules - I have to dig in the archives for this. Haven't had time. |

| Message | Ha, its a very easy solution as far as I'm concerned. The only issue that needs to be discussed is a minimum roster size. Lets simply say that you need to have a minimum roster of 12F, 6D and 2G and the rule will be official after the Jan midseason. I do have one offer out there involving a forward for a non roster asset but I will just revoke it (consider it revoked, other GM). FWIW, we did establish that leaving injured players up is wrong. But that has nothing to do with what is happening here. This was simply me feeling that an early midseason pick was more valuable than Williams (that was the deal that put me under). There was no rule so I did it. And there is no proper way to regulate the type of players people draft and we shouldn't even try to get into that. How can we judge what is a suitable "active roster player"? Are you going to tell me that Backlund or Ellis can't be drafted because its obvious they wont make the team? What if a GM firmly believes they will? Phil can't have Forsberg on his team even if he is adamant that Forsberg will return and bring the Phillies to the promised land? Lets make a minimum size and thats that. |

| Message | ha cam ![]() my opinion: -something should be done this year (but if collin doesn't think so, he's the one affected so then it doesn't matter to me) -last year i thought we established that leaving injured players on your roster when healthy options are available on the bench would result in picking last in all rounds.. i could be wrong here, but i thought that's what we came up with.. i think active roster minimums are even more black and white.. players like forsberg etc make it a grey area, i don't think they should be considered a suitable "active roster player".. we have to nip this issue, b/c rebuilding will take on an entirely different look, especially if two teams are aggressive in their efforts for #1 pick... no easy solution here.. don't force cam to pick a forward, but carrying an empty roster spot is down right silly ![]() |

| Message | I agree that the rule shouldn't be instantiated until next year. I wouldn't want to be forced to pick a certain position at the draft. At the same time, I would expect that you wouldn't trade any more forwards away. Also... Dan had nothing to do with this. I emailed the commish shortly after the deal inquiring as to the rules (still waiting for my copy of the rule book) |

| Message | Forsberg becomes a max value player this week when he signs with Vancouver! If you want min value look at Dan's "A" list mini-russian... ![]() |

| Message | I completely agree with CDogg ... or should I say Dan? ![]() Anyways, there should be a rule and the only reason I went under was to move as many players as possible when there was still a good market. My main mistake was not including Forsberg or other "minimally valued players" when I made the Ovechkin trade. If you want to make this a rule, then I agree but only if it is instituted next year. Forcing me to draft a forward in this redraft is not a proper option. Rest assured, by the end of the Jan midseason(in which I have two picks), I will have a minimum roster. |

| Message | Yup I agree for sure, nothing against Cam and no punishment needed in my opinion... he will have a full roster (if he drafts a forward) by the end of this month, I'd suggest making it mandatory for him to fill up his roster by the beginning of December and then making it a rule from there forward. (I'll give him my drop if he isn't planning on drafting an F to make it fair for him). One thing to note is that Cam (or any GM, I did in the past) can have bodies of players nowhere near the NHL and still be effectively in the same boat as far as contributing forwards. (Hodgson, Radulov, Allison) There is no way to police this, but drawing a hard line on a full roster (including positions) must be kept. |
