| Message | Based on Shane's response, I think Rob and Shane need to speak directly and sort this out once and for all. I gather Shane isn't interested in a lengthy defense on the banter board so I think direct communication with Rob is needed, in order to see what Shane's intentions are going forward. |

| Message | I had the chance to talk to GM Neufeld in person tonight (actually as he was writing his email) - I initiated this phone call because of how this was escalating and tonight I actually had a chance to call him. I have been quite on the banter board on this issue until now, because I wanted to verbally speak with him. My understanding from GM Neufeld is as follows; 1. It is his desire to stay in the league (he checks the pool on pick-up daily). I clearly asked him his intentions. 2. It turns out that GM Neufeld does not check this banter board very often and did not see the original dates for the 1st re-draft. Because the FHL reports have come way more sporadically, they have not been the primary mode of FHL communication, as well, general emails from the commissioner have not been made on that re-draft. The banterboard became the primary mode of FHL communication, but my understanding is that Neufeld didn't know that. 3. On the $ note. It is my understanding that Neufeld wants to clear up his financial standing within the FHL during this season, due to the new financial circumstances he finds himself in. My vote - keep Shane in. There are no stipulations that say how active or what kind of GM strategy a GM uses. I'm sure there is quite a variety of GM communications within the NHL. Yes, the financial part of this is a serious concern. My vote would be to allow him time (this season) to pay his debts and go from there. |

| Message | lmao, well it looks as though I stepped into something by reading my e-mail a week late and not checking the date it was sent. I have not read all your messages but understand where your all coming from cuz you're all up on it. It seems as though while i was preparing for my pick you all have been discussing my future. Let me know what your decision is without making it personal, I'll be checking back soon... |

| Message | If someone can get a hold of Shane, that would be great. But like I said, whether you can't or won't rectify the problem doesn't really matter. The problem is still there in that the franchise is being neglected. Again, nothing personal, Shane may be in Ethiopia carrying sick children to the hospital on his back. He's a hero but he's out of the FHL. I would be in favor of freezing the Bruins roster and taking this month to sort things out. If Shane can demonstrate that he's willing and able to address the problems, then great, welcome back. If not, we find a new GM and pass the team off to them in it's entirety. If thats our route, we should aim to pick someone by the end of Dec to give them some time to get acclimated before the Jan midseason. I agree with Duke about taking a week to make sure about this. Balls in your court then, Rob. Or Shane, if you happen to read all this... |

| Message | lol @ epp totally agree about at least making contact with shane to hear his side... i've jumped the gun without hearing out both sides of the story before in pools and it can lead to making the wrong decision. for all we know it could be a family emergency... publish shane's phone number and cam can set up the 4 hour rotation for everyone to take turns calling him.. let's move quickly on this, frozen rosters are no fun. i'd say we focus on reaching shane with a deadline of a week or less... after that i'm looking forward to the candidate interviews.. derksen do you remember when we interviewed cranny for him to get his spot back in the DSSHP? that was awesome haha.. phil and i have a good pooler dude as well.. i'm looking for strong pool references from our candidates,, active, competitive etc.. i vote yes, pending an explanation... also not kidding... if you're busy rob, give me his phone number i'll call him myself... let's get this moving... |

| Message | That's a good point...in fact, the other day Rob and I were talking down the street when he suddenly darted in to a phone booth. About thirty seconds later, Shane came out of there and I didn't see Rob the rest of the day. Wierd, eh? Phil , I didn't mean to imply you have more free time than the rest of us. I mean to imply that you're a loser. Sorry if that wasn't clear. If we bring a new GM in to manage the Bruins, will they assume responsibility for that team's debts? |

| Message | I vote to have someone take over, I'm all for giving him a voice for the latest stretch of inactivity but the unpaid fees is a 6 or 7 year problem is too big of an issue. I also think new blood adds excitement and activity, which is really what fantasy hockey should be about. Sidenote: I probably have less free time than all of you, but I'm just always at my computer... and always ready to procrastinate. Wait a second... Rob's the only one that knows Shane? have we ever seen Rob and Shane in the same place? I call for an external investigation to make sure that Rob isn't running a farm team under the Chowtown alias! ![]() |

| Message | I vote to freeze the Chow Town roster effective immediately. The FHL now should control his roster until a new GM is in place to take over his roster. I have a candidate in mind who would jump at the chance to take over Chowtowns existing roster. |

| Message | Hey guys, I haven't weighed in on this because I wanted to hear from Shane. Rob, can you call him since you appear to be the only person that actually knows him? I think we have to be careful about ganging up on people without hearing what they have to say...I also think poor communication isn't really a reason to boot someone (since not everybody can be Phil when it comes to this pool..no offense Phil, I love your enthusiasm. You've reignited a passof for the FHL that I thought had died in my soul a long time ago). Missed deadlines, however, are a bigger issue and missed payments even more so. Anyway, in the interim perhaps the FHL should take over the Bruins. There is the issue of an oustanding draft pick that team has. Or, if you guys have other people interested in joining the pool, we should have that discussion. I'd really rather not dissolve the Bruins though...if Shane can't run them, perhaps someone else can. |
