MessageI say, live by the sword and die by the sword of attention. Life happened, he didn't make the move. Sure, penalties for tanking, but this wasn't. Let's move on or give Shane his mid-season pick too.

MessageSince when do we respond to a complaint with a rule change within the same week? Cam was allowed to run his roster short one man for a month because it wouldn't be fair to him to make him draft a forward... and now all the sudden Collin's head must roll?

Did I miss a new years resolution?

MessageWhy hasn't Cdogg come forward and made a change up to this point? 7 days to decide who should replace Bieksa on your back end when your fighting for last place? Put a name on here and lets all move on. smilie

MessageYeah - I like that. My vote would be in this case to give C-Dogg his proper move - which he would have made.

MessageThis board needs an ignore feature. No offense Goon.

I disagree about the same treatment in the race for first. This situation is only a problem if the GM in question benefits from the action. Obviously, someone trying to win would not benefit.

My main problem in this current situation is that I don't think Collin should benefit because he was on holidays. If he's here at home, there is no question that Bieksa is on the farm.

My proposal for cases of questionable rosters moves: if someone has a problem with a move, bring it up on here and we can vote on it with majority rules. If the decision is deemed to be intentional (tanking), the guilty GM gets moved to the back of the line in an upcoming draft round. If the move is unintentional (such as in this case), the GM has to insert a new player ASAP.

Does that work for everyone?

MessageI find it very unusual that Dan has Backstrom and Malkin in the lineup this month...There cant be a subjective punishment to these matters. It needs to be cut and dried or else a GM can argue until the coys come home why he made a certain decision.

MessageI'm fine with a rule where the league can put a GMs month end roster moves under review. If all GMs vote that the roster moves were unusual then the GM in question will have to take action. This is more to prevent problems in the 'race for last place', but can also apply to first place. If a GM in 2nd place misses a roster substitution that would benefit him in the race for first, he has to receive this treatment as well.

Oh - and I never mentioned it, but I will 'offer to fix this' voluntarily

MessageI don't know Goon, are you sure that's a harsh enough punishment? I know you're not one to ever, ever, ever over react to these things, but shouldn't execution of C-Dogg also be on the table?

MessageNow that Cdogg and all GM's are aware that Bieksa is out for 2-3 months, Cdogg should be instructed that he has 24 hours to sub in another dman for Bieksa. If he chooses not to, his franchise is in the hands of the league, and may be subject to a dispersal draft.

MessageOnce again, I am not worried of "tanking", Cdogg's moral fiber is much too high. But why should someone benefit from not paying attention, intentional or not?

Seeing as Cdogg won't voluntarily fix the situation, I guess we will have to vote on it. Bear in mind that by not fixing this (either by "allowing" a roster change or punishing the guilty team), we open the door for all sorts of problems. "I swear I never heard that so and so got hurt..."

I propose a rule that teams cannot benefit from month end injuries. ie. in the case of injuries close to month end that are evident to all.
