| Message | I see Sutter targeting Kovalchuk. He is the puck hog they will need on the second line to have a line all to himself. |

| Message | The Flames have had rumours of dressing room problems for 2 years solid now, I have to believe that these moves were mainly an effort to clear house and start with fresh chemistry. |

| Message | Oh, forgot to point out that the rumor here has always been that Phaneuf and Kipper are total coke-heads. That may have played in to the trade as well. |

| Message | The FHL stats currently have the ChowTown Bruins ahead of me in the standings...this is incorrect as I moved Emery up to my starting roster over the weekend and he got a shutout last night. |

| Message | GM Brown, A GM (ie Sutter) should not be congratulated for simply making a trade. Better to make no trade than a bad one. The Flames could afford to lose Phaneuf but its beyond me why they wouldn't demand some sort of marquis player or high draft pick in return. Leaf cast-offs don't qualify. The Joikennen deal is a head-scratcher...they were going to lose him at the end of the year anyway (and why not?) but the return also seemed odd. The only way Sutter can redeem himself is if he uses the money he saved by unloading Phaneuf's bloated contract to sign a big-name at the trade deadline. That being said, if Sutter gets fired as a result of this, it will all be worth it. |

| Message | The FHL is pleased to announce that a new owner has been found to take over the Bruin franchise. The name of the new owner is Jeremy Wiebe. Wiebe can be contacted @ [email protected]. In the negotiations the prospective owner will pay league fees this season (even though only taking over 2/3rds through the season) on the condition that we allow him to make a retro-active mid-season pick for Jan. 31st. He will also make appropriate farm team call up transactions retro active to Jan 31st. This moves will be made by the end of this week. The new ownership group will announce a new franchise name at a later date. |
