MessageLEON SIMPSON/THE FACTS

I and others have been asked how is it that Leon has now signed for Leatherhead FC.?

Well we had a 7 day approach from Farnborough FC for him, they wanted to speak with him before the 7 days, we asked for a consideration if that was the case, and they refused.

I was mystified as to why they needed him when they already had prolific strikers and were top of their league by 6 points with two games in hand? However he went to them and played, I think, 4 minutes in 4 weeks.

They then asked us to cancel his registration with the Ryman League as they wanted to loan him out too, not surprisingly, get some games in.

As we still held his Ryman registration our retort to that was "Well he can have some games here if you like" but no, they said a number of Ryman PREMIER clubs were interested.

We duly cancelled his registration and the very next day he signed for Leatherhead.

I have asked them when Leatherhead got promoted, but no reply...

Duplicity..........look it up.

MessageGreat performance against a weak Ashford side, who as the holders should have had more of an X Factor, especially given that their midfield ball follower looked like Jamie Archer, smilie their forwards had the moves of Jedward and keeper was as co-ordinated as Louis Walsh. smilie

Well done lads, here's to a prolonged cup run
