MessageJust to say last nights game was a treat to watch with Merstham playing the better footie for most of the game. Woking never really looking likely to score, we have to play football like last nights game consistentley and we will be back in the play off race.

The New Defender Jordan had an excellent game as all of the players last night. Great game to watch!
Bring on Croydon Ath, Saturday

MessageWELL GARY
Both Martin and I were at the game at Woking last night I thought the lads played very well. But we just cannot keep giving away silly penalties like last night, and as for missing penalties, I think it's one thing saving a goal but missing the goal altogether WELL.
NOT only was IAN, our goalkeeper, the man of the match for our team last night for me at least he has been the man of season.I AM SORRY GRAHAM AND TEAM but I think we need to buck our ideas up this not from the board but from me

MessageThanks for the reasoned response Ronnie. However I do think it's easy to look back with rose-coloured glasses on. This time last year we were in a similar position in the league and through Dec and Jan last season we played six games at home and only won one of them - not much different to now.

I wonder how you (and Gary) think we played in the first half against Goldalming? They are likely to go up - as other clubs around them seem to be imploding at the moment - and yet we run them ragged in the first half creating four or five very good chances which on another day should have gone in. And remember they got back into the game with a debatable handball decision which other refs might not have given. I admit the last 30 minutes were pretty awful and our defence were poor but we were without Vernon and had a 18 year old making his debut so maybe it's more a surprise that they did so well up until then!

MessageLeigh, whilst I appreciate what you say comes from the heart with a loyalty that I cannot fault. Many of us fans havent the inside info that you have knowing your former position within the club. We have to call it as we see it which is just 90 minutes of football and recently many of us have been disappointed at watching Merstham play. Much of this is down to the fact that in recent seasons we have been spoilt with the success of the club. We just dont like seeing our team beaten and not having won at home in the league for 7 games is something we find hard to except. I hope you all understand where I am coming from.

MessageHmmm, 'amber', I on the other hand couldn't disagree more. This is a Godalming side who we have only now beaten once in five meetings at this level and who we used to struggle to beat in the CCL days. And yet, in the first half, we ran them ragged and played some of the best football we've seen in months.

Not sure how the players changes can be dismissed so easily. We've had players go to League clubs, higher level non-League clubs and poached away in dubious circumstances...and Graham has done his best to replace them mid-season with players from various levels. I hardly think Liam (the left back who is from Charlton's academy) is CCL standard!!

Messagei have to say i could not agree more with the match review, i do not like to knock the coaching staff or indeed the players, but having seen the last 2 or 3 matches. im afraid we lack alot of quality, seems to be week after week we are playing with no midfield, and have lacked quality and composure all over the park, not sure whether some of the new signings are good enough to play at this level, against godalming we looked like a struggiling ccl team, hope GB and the coaching staff can save the season, and repeat some of the success of the past 2 years. come on boys .
