| Message | Just saw the absurd and dubious title 'awarded' to Bay Roberts on CBC; as a dual-citizened (CDN/US) resident of the Rochester New York area, I'm now determined to visit your beautiful town on my trip to NFLD. Just the natural surroundings of your community are compelling enough, but I can imagine the people of Bay Roberts are decent, friendly and welcoming... exactly the kind of destination that appeals to every tourist. And I have to believe your local cuisine is unique and exceptional. Stunning beauty, great people and a rich cultural history - what's not to like? Don't worry about some ridiculous label. Just brace yourselves for an influx of tourist dollars from folks who've been looking for a town just like Bay Roberts. Please change nothing... you make us all proud to be Canadian! |

I've had the pleasure to visit Bay Roberts, and found it to be one of the BEST places to [visit], live or even read about-- after all, it IS a rather historic site,is it not? I doubt that the writer of that piece of j--- has a clue where B.R. is located. People here in Vancouver are paying millions$$$ to live near the ocean,or even to SEE it!But I am a native NEWFOUNDLANDER ,who just happens to live "up-a-long".ps.--Great site, too--does you proud! |

| Message | In Vancouver, just read the article, googled your town checked out your website, looked at the pictures that are posted on there from your community and surrounding area. Looks pretty cool actually. Had a thought of moving there with the wife and kids, me working in the machine shop, wife working at the landing or curves, buying one of the heritage homes. Make a nice little life in the Bay. Hmm, maybe one day... Keep proud people of Bay, we are all Canadians from coast to coast to coast... |

| Message | I just wanted top pop in and give the people of Bay Roberts my support regarding the recent article saying Bay Roberts is the worst place to live in Canada. I moved out of South River in 1999, and apparently I now live in the number 7 city on this same list, Brandon, Manitoba. Let me tell you, I am quite familar with Bay Roberts and I would rather live in Bay Roberts than in Brandon, Manitoba, but, life choices and employment just doesn't permit it for me. Brandon has all kinds of crime, all the time, plain and simple. I think Winnipeg was number 9 on that same list? Well, I lived there too for 4 years and that's another crap hole. Last time I checked, Winnipe was the auto theft and arsen capitol of Canada. Just goes to show the author of this article doesn't know a hoole in the ground from his....well, you get what I am trying to say. Maybe kick the RCMP out of town and start burning stuff to the ground and you will get Bay Roberts higher up on this worthless, foolish list LOL! Dwayne |

| Message | I love the Bay Roberts Marina! Roscoe and I go boating every chance we get. It would be a fantasic idea if gas and diesel were available to fill up the boats. What an attraction not only for the Legion but the entire Water Street area!  |

| Message | I am from Newfoundland and I think Bay Roberts is a beautiful little community with alot of great aspects. My husband and I love taking drives out there to look at all of the wonderful scenery that Bay Roberts has to enjoy... It is also quite a pleasure to drop in to the little stores and museums this place has to offer! I would like to know if the writer of that magazine who rank Bay Roberts to be the lowest if they have ever actually visit the place and enjoy the pleasures it has to offer? |

| Message | Just read on the Yahoo Canada financial news web sight that Bay Roberts was one of the worst places in all of Canada to live. I was wondering what you have to do to qualify for this distintion. When I looked at the picture of the town on your web site, it looked like a pretty little town to me, built along the shore line. I would suggest that the town council offer some defence to the writers rating. I live a way out here in Sask. and would be very insulted if someone wrote an artical like that about our beautiful little town of Esterhazy.- Hope everyone in Bay Roberts has a great day!!!
