MessageI teach middle school choir with boys who range from soprano to bass (although not enough to sing SATB). The boys would really like to sing together, but I cannot find music that works for all of their voices. Please help!!

MessageI am forming a first-time choir of boys in grades 3 through 7. Some middle school boys can sing down to an E below middle C, and I'm sure some of their voices will continue to deepen as the school year progresses. I promised the Buccaneer (Boy) Choir NO GIRLY MUSIC! Any music you can recommend would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently scouring my personal music collections looking for sea shanteys and other "guy" music, especially music that is fairly simple to start -- unison or two-part only. I anticipate 20-30 boys with perhaps 10 of them singing down to the E (light baritones? - from your website). Your website is great! Thank you!

MessageI'm looking for religious and secular music for changing voices--I have a school chorus in a parochial elementary school of 30 girls and 6 boys,(grades 4-8) each with a voice in a different stage of development! I'd like to have some music that features the boys alone, and some that doesn't make them feel left out and uncomfortable singing with the girls.
