MessageHey Mushtaq-
Asalaam alaykum. It's been a long time. How are you doing? Everyone here is great, alhumdullilah. In fact, I have finally opened a yoga studio!! Valley Yoga is now about 5 months old and we have a website. Check it out: valley-yoga.com. I was reminiscing about that day in Nassau, NY at Aunt Naomi's memorial service when you said to me, so when are you going to open your own place. I thought and expressed how I could never imagine doing that. But Allah knows! Thanks for putting the bug under my hat.
I pray you are well and happy.
Peace,
Dianne smilie

MessageHey,
I'm a girl with dreadlocks. They're a very recent addition to my life, and your blog inspired me. I was looking at pictures of dreads, trying to decide if I really wanted them. I loved your photograph, and ended up reading your blog entry about Jen. You write very well, and your range of talents and knowledge are intriguing. What you wrote about Jen encouraged me, because you saw her as a person, not as dreadlocks. They were just a neat extension of her personality.
Also, my friend and I LOVE your rules of a gentleman. I hope to have many friends as good as you. You are so respectful and uplifting towards those you know. You see their gifts and talents, and it seems that you bring them out. I'm saying all this based on your blog of course... but this is what I've gleaned.

Lastly, I saw what you wrote on the side. I love Africa, though I have never been there. I hope to live there, to speak their languages, and experience the people. I know I have a lot to learn in life, but your blog entry taught me a bit. Thanks for sharing.

-Abbie
