| Message | June 6, 1980 was a magical day for our family...it was the day we met you for the first time. It was definitely love at first sight. Your sister, Dad and I were very excited to have you join our family, after four months of uncertainty. Your Dad went out and bought your very first outfits, including a christening suit (no dress for his boy...lol). You are so missed. There are many days when we cannot understand how we are still here without you...your friends are still coming by for a visit or calling to chat; they miss you, too. Life sure has changed since you left; technology has gone beyond what you could ever imagine. Being robbed is what comes to mind for you and for us. While everyone moves on with their families and all the good things that come with families, we are forever grieving for what cannot be. I could go on and on, but there's no use! | Message | Happy St. Paddy's Day, Precious Angel. It is offically St. Paddy's Day in NL. We're celebrating for you with our friends this evening...as you'll be celebrating with your angel friends. As I said on the St. Paddy's Day card that you framed, "enjoy the day but don't overdo it"...you have so many buddies with you that it is overwhelming to think about it! Dad is making the stew for dinner (I'm overseeing it, of course) and the Irish cream cheesecake is done...we also have Ryan's Irish cream liqueur we brought back from Florida. Don't know if you'll have green beer, but we sure will, just in case! Up she goes! We know you loved St. Paddy's...and Christmas...and Hallowe'en and every occasion for a party and a good time. Carly called, as we have come to expect, and Bronson sent beautiful flowers (even got a green butterfly...who would have "thunk" it)! Didn't see a blue jay today, but Sam Hall started playing on the radio as I was speaking out loud to myself about the blue jay; then, the next song was Breath of Angels...so I do believe you were here. And we had a note from Malcolm, so you are doing what you can. Sundays are the worst of all; certainly missing you. Sometimes it feels like a smack in the stomach...I know we have beautiful memories of you and you knew how loved you were, but it's not you, your voice, your smile, your whistle, being able to hug you or speak to you...we were robbed and you were robbed and nothing will change that.
