MessageWintersleep seem to be Yarmouth's proud leaders right now. Holy F#%^ have fascinating live shows.
But i am actually a diehard fan of BIG GAME HUNT. What style of music is Balky? They need to try live shows. I bet they would be entertaining. Gravis and Never are two of Yarmouth's proudest achievements. Maybe Never can get back on track now that the Canadian Idol crap is over.

MessageI hate it when people claim there is a Yarmouth sound. The "Yarmouth sound" is a phrase made for wannabes who don't have their own identity. There are so many great and talented bands and artists in Yarmouth. But there are also a lot of fools who want to be "the next Kary" or "the next Burnt Black." Everyone has originality in them that should be expressed through their music. Respect your idols, don't mock them.

MessageWhen i think of the Yarmouth music scene, i think of Brian Borcherdt, Matt Bridgeo, and Ryan Cook. All three of them have contributed to music in diverse creative ways. Grunge, metal, techno, country...etc. They have flirted with music styles that some would not expect. Very respectable!
