MessageDiane,
I was a client of yours in Richmond in 1979-81. I first saw your Dad. I have thought of you so many times over the years. Please accept my sympathies on the loss of your Mom. I too lost my Mom last year, on January 8. She too was a remarkable woman and I miss her. I am still married to John. we have 3 children, ages 22, 19 and 7 years. We now live in Albuquerque, NM. I would love to hear from you to say hello and to thank you again for all you did to help me as a young woman. I am well. Best to you, Carolyn

MessageIt is a little over a year since Mom died (Feb. 4th, 2006). I feel sad. But I feel grateful to Mom for all she did and gave. Hope you are at peace, Mom. We miss you.

Love,

MessageIt's Mom's Birthday today. I just spoke with Michael. Ordinarily we would be with Mom to celebrate. We remember and we miss Lois. She is with us still.

MessageThis is a beautiful way to memorialize someone so special. I am really impressed by the dedication and effort that has gone into this touching site. May her memory be blessed and may she continue to be a malitz yosher, a heavenly advocate, for the entire family.

MessageThank you for putting together a wonderful website that celebrates Lois’ life. This memorial is a great example of the love she inspired.

I (Don) met her some thirty or so years ago through my friends and colleagues Charlis and Jerry. I was in considerable awe of the work Lois and her husband George had done in developing a valuable psychological tool, the PATE.

I (Don) occasionally saw Lois on her visits to the northwest. I was delighted that she met my wife Ann on one of those visits in the mid-80s. They subsequently became buddies while Ann was on a work assignment for several months in Richmond.

When I (Ann), worked in Richmond, Lois was there to provide me a touch of “home.” I enjoyed her friendship and hospitality. She showed me the real Richmond, not just the corporate suburb where I worked. She had a great enthusiasm for living life well. We had lots of fun together eating steaks and drinking scotch.

When Lois moved to Whidbey Island, we were fortunate enough to share some special times together. Her love of music was contagious. We listened to music together and when we saw the musical “Tango” last year, it was a delight reviewing it with Lois who had, of course, seen it many times. We also will miss her.

You have our condolences and our love,

Ann and Don

MessageHey you guys have done a wonderful job with the memorial. My favorite picture is the one of Lois in the sun and slacks, and the baby carriage...she's got the world on a string! Miss Lois's easy friendship with me, wish i had gotten to know her earlier...xxxooojoanne

MessageI only met Lois once--when my brother Daniel and Diane were married, so I have to admit I didn't really know her. After reading Diane's wonderful memorial to her mother, however, I feel like I have a much clearer picture of who Lois was--her beginnings and what shaped her as a person, her extraordinary career and range of interests and the gifts she gave to her children. What a loving and generous tribute to a mother from her daughter...Well done, Diane

MessageLois was a loyal client for my computer consulting services, and I grew to enjoy our occasional visits in front of her computer. She always displayed admirable courage and resolution, given her impaired eyesight, in tackling the challenge of operating her computer.
I consider her a friend, and will miss her.
~Bruce
