MessageThe only ass in this situation is the person who put this situation on the internet and is willing to broadcast what a complete moron they are for paying to live in that apartment. I would be ashamed to admit I was a complete sucker and paid money to live there. Nonetheless...someone who wants to pretend they know all the laws for the state of Michigan when they can't even have the common sense to pick out a safe apartment. Let's sharpen our education a little bit!

MessageHow can you tell me that people couldn't see these problems when they looked at the apartment in the first place? It is pure ignorance to overlook these problems as a tenant looking for an apartment. In this case...yes the landlord should add care to the apartment but why would a stupid sucker agree to pay rent for an apartment that has problems so noticeable as these? Perhaps the people looking to expose the landlord as the problem should look at themselves...trying to pay pennies for an extravagant apartment which doesn't happen. Get off your duff and get some common sense! Perhaps look at how your money is being spent before agreeing to live in such an apartment. Everyone has choices and they CHOOSE to continue to live there.

MessageI agree landlords are a business.. I don't blame the landlord for not keeping a "apartment" looking nice and beautiful. As long as it has the basics. I know tenants destroy things, break out walls bust things up trash the place up do damages, placing graffitiwhere they can.. Seriously, whats listed in the site is not complaining about the carpets, graffiti, looks of the apartment, ect. Its complaining about Leaky roof's, causing mold growth, falling apart starways that obsly need some repair. Showing some electrical issues... SOO Your telling me, its ok for your ceiling to be leaking water?? When walking down the stairways, its ok for the board to fall from under you?

MessageLet's see first landlords are considered a business! Landlords are taxed as commericial and they pay higher taxes than a residential house! I know for a fact that several apartments in the downtown Mayville area have been raided for drugs because of the tenants! A place can be run down but that doesn't mean the inside has to be. Perhaps the landlord doesn't want to put money into it because tenants will ruin it especially when they try to cram 8 people into a 2 bedroom apartment! I am sure the landlord would put money into the apartment if he didn't have the fear of tenants ruining it!!! smilie

MessageIf this page broadcasts our community's flaws, so be it! Don't deny there is a problem, lets fix it.. Don't Let this community become the "projects" with falling down buildings, rotting from the inside out with owners who don't care what happend to there building. These eye sores, not only chase "businesses" out but bring in crimes and drugs! Cleaning up the community, is what bring's in the Businesses. This page does not look like its broadcasting flaws, but pointing out problems that need to be changed. smilie

MessageI hardly see being a landlord as a business that really needs any promotion. It doesn't bring any extra money in for the community such as restaraunts, stores, industry, etc. It is only for the benefit of the landlord, and usually suppliments his/her income, and usually doesn't go back into the apartment complexes, housing etc. I've been there. Seriously, people who don't know what they are talking about, need to leave this site, and find someone else to talk smack to. Any counter replies will be ignored by the intelligent people who enter this page, as I'm sure most of them would see where I'm coming from. Nobody should have to live in a rundown apartment complex due to the landlords negligence. Don't blame the tenants, if all you have to choose from is rundown housing like this one for example. Fix the dump, or tear it down.

MessageI am sorry that you have had an unfortunate experience but seriously...you didn't see this stuff coming when you paid the rent or looked at the place. That mold has been there for a long time and who would not notice the black spots around the lights. This stuff is identifiable and this is your fault for paying to live in such a place. To make the situation worse you decide to post this website to make your own community look bad. I thought we wanted to promote businesses to come to our community not broadcast our flaws? Perhaps you need the wakeup call!!!

MessageThat is really messed up.. I live in apartments to but they don't look anything like that.. I would seriously report him to the state.. He would prolly get put in jail for the poor up keep and they way things are not to mention the way he is neglecting to takes care of it.. Just get a petition signed by all the tenants and take it to I think the FIA and how them the pictures and have them send someone out so they can observe for themselves and they will take it from there.... That isn't even right like you said it is a health risk you everyone who lives there.. Not Good!! Good Luck with everything!! smilie
