MessagePorthcawl used to be a half decent place, before they started the elvis festival, now it attracts all the fat bald trogs, with stupid wigs and flapping flares, good to know that they plan to move it to swansea, look out swansea.

MessageWent to Porthcawl in July and I have to say the place was an absolute mess. The place was dirty and disgusting and was very old and cheap. Will never go there again

MessageI remember with fondness sunday school trips to Porthcawl many years ago when I was a child. What a disappointment my trip to Porthcawl was today when I visited with my husband. The beach was covered in litter the majority of which was alcohol related. The town looked drab and unexciting. We particularly noted the number of smokers on the streets and also the number of people using mobility scooters and walking sticks (could the two be related ?). We went into Sidolis for a coffee and the young waitress who served us poured the coffee into the cups, slopping it all over the sides into the saucer. She did not apologise, but simply changed the saucers. I had to ask for a serviette to mop up the slops. After that we had had enough and promptly returned to our car and went home, vowing never to return to Porthcawl again.

Messageyou'd be missing out by not exploring porthcawl, no matter how many people criticise its cheap surroundings, it truely is an experience of a lifetime, the nightclubs and entertainment are incredible, and the views from trecco bay are breath taking. Definately a place for family entertainment and enjoyment :D smilie smilie smilie smilie smilie
