| Message | I really like Excalion singer's voice. Only area band could improve really is variety of keys, moods & tempos. But all the nuts & bolts are there; the standard of playing is excellent. Great future awaits them. |

| Message | You like Excalion, Santeri! Yes, I've got 'Waterlines'. Very good band. Out of all those you mentioned, Sonata Arctica are my favourite. Symphony X a close 2nd. I've just discovered a Russian band called Black Warrior. Amazing!! Like both Nightwish and Sonata Arctica at same time. But Amberian Dawn are similar style to that and from Finland. A.D.'s 2nd album 'Clouds Of Northland Thunder' will be my next purchase. |

Revolution Renaissance (Timo Tolkki's (Ex- stratovarius mastermind for 24 years)New band with a little bit different aproach to Stratovarius style power metal.) Kiuas (Hybrid metal mixing all forms of metal. Folkish parts Death metal parts some growling mostly clean singing melodic metal power metal speed metal tharshy riffs they have everything at the same time) Thunderstone (Melodic Power metal with rough and heavy edges in their music) Leverage (experienced musicians playing melodic metal together creating awesome songs) Winterborn (proggy Melodic metal) Diablo (Pure melodic death metal. Only completely pure melodeath band I like) Cains Offering (Jani Liimatainen's (Ex-Sonata Arctica) new band including Stratovarius vocalist Timo Kotipelto) Celesty (Symphonic Power metal at it's best (Symphonic only on the last album before that pure PM) Thats all the Finnish bands I listen to Others: Rhapsody Of Fire (The Symphonic Power metal legends) Hammerfall (Experienced Long running Heavy/power metal legends form sweden) Firewind (Great Melodic metal from Greece) Symphony X (Along with Excalion and Stratovarius one of my favourite bands. They play Progressive metal so it's really complicated and takes a long time to get into but once you do you can't hate it anymore) thats just some of the best. |
