After reading Davids' posting 2010 about the Hebrew word "Day" actually excites me. Peter speaks about "One day with God is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day". So does this mean that God spent Six thousand "Earth Years" to complete creation? Also how long was the "earth",God used to build this planet, "Without form and void" of life?
Which leads to this next question. Is it possible to contaminate a crime scene? Well according to any CSI show you choose, the answer would be, yes. It is not inconceivable to create a "Fast Fossile" just check out the "Hammer". Very old minerals migrate into a piece of wood or...a bone and a mis-classified fossil is born. Therefore, NO fossil may be used to create any kind of time line for life on Earth.
Before you answer...Think about it.
One last thought...Upon completion of building a barn (Intelligent Creation) it is already in decay. Organization to Disorganization, NOT vice versa

Doyle,
First, I think you missed an important point about the hammer: since it was found in a loose concretion (sitting on a rock, not embedded in it) and has not been conclusively linked to any host formation, it has no anti-evolutionary value. Second, you seem to misunderstand geologic dating. I encourage you to read Brent Dalrymple's comprehensive book "The Age of the Earth" on that topic. Your last comment seems to suggest you think everything (including living things?) can only decay and never grow or evolve, but there is much evidence to the contrary, and a mechanism for the latter (natural selection).
