| Message | Just wanted to add to the tributes for lovely John - We were rehearsing Henry V on November 11th 2004 and just after the 2 minute silence, he recited the whole of "The Soldier" (the poem which begins "If I should die, think only this of me..." . It was really moving and it's my second favourite memory of him. My first is of him showing us all the correct way to fall over on stage! I'm sure my year will agree it was a comedy day, it still makes me laugh thinking about it!I could have listened to him talk all day, he was so engaging, and impossibly intelligent! Thank you John, we'll miss you. |

| Message | We are both deeply saddened at the loss of John, such a brilliant and inspirational man. We feel so privileged to have had him as a teacher and friend and we only wish we could have thanked him more for the eternal support that he gave. He was a fantastic man with an enormous heart and we will miss him dearly. He will be in our thoughts and hearts in everything we do. Our love and thoughts are with Barbie and all his family. |
