| Message | Sad news Ted Lewington has passed away this message was left on my site I regret to inform members of the Red Devils Team that my uncle Ted Lewington aged 71 years died very unexpectedly today Tuesday 02/02/2009 in Singleton Perth Western Australia. Ted died quietly whilst sunning himself in the back yard and was just simply enjoying the moment. I believe Ted joined the Parachute Regiment during the 1960's had approx 3453 jumps and left the Regiment in 1981 RIP Sgt Maj my friend and mentor - Mick |

| Message | Well - it seems a long time since I was with 3 Para. I first joined the Battalion in 1971, 4 platoon B Company (Murray Smith as Platoon Sergeant)which gave me a huge experience in a short time, next as Anti tank Platoon Commander with Baz Greenhalgh, Hayes, Haynes to name but a few!! Fortunate to come back as Coy Comd A Company with el presidentee as one of my corporals!! Brilliant to see some names that bring back so many wonderful memories of good .. and bad times. I completed my 36 years army service in South Africa as the Defence Adviser in Pretoria before leaving the Army officially on 10th Oct 2006. I always considered myself to be hugely fortunate in serving my regiment but the real privilege and pleasure was working with the 'toms' and really genuine people in our special club. I am not very good at keeping in touch as a rule but but I intend to join the Reunion Club in the hope that one day I will get to a reunion, meet up with life's characters who will force me to communicate!!
