MessageHello all,
following the committee meeting last month, I have been in contact with the battalion RSM to confirm arrangements for the Reunion on Saturday 20 March, next year - reminder!
The AGM will take place at 1800 in the WO & Sgts Mess. Prior to this there will various displays put on by the battalion (probably starting at 1700).
Following the AGM we will be into the Mess bar!
The committee have decided on a FULL BUFFET meal (with wine)to start at 2000. There will be tables and seating so everybody can sit down with old mates! The cost of the function will only be £10.
The RSM has kindly arranged for accomodation at a nearby transit camp for those who are unaccompanied. This accomodation will be basic and those that use it will require sleeping bags etc. The cost for this will be £5. This will only be available on Saturday (from 1200), as the El Gamil Reunion is using it on Friday, as they are the Mess. So if you want to make a weekend of it you will have to find your own accomodation on Friday night.
He has also laid on transport to and from the Mess on the Saturday.
There will be breakfast available on Sunday morning in the battalion cookhouse - this will be in with the £5!
So a long way to travel for some but not necessarily an expensive one!
Booking proformas should be out by mid-Dec.
Regards to all
Terry Carroll

MessageCan anyone remind me? If we had a full size battalion, how many men would there be, how many would there be in a company, platoon and section. Not that we ever had a full size, except for Dougie Saunders, he was always full size.
