| Message | Dear Angelo, As you know, I visit your blog because I find your writing so captivating. You write about important things – always in an engaging way. Your writing invites comment, debate and discussion and that is precisely what makes your blog so interesting. I was in Tarquinia on Saturday. The sky turned dark and the rain poured down and the air was fresh and cool. The rain on Saturday offered a brief, cool respite from the horrible heat of summer. In a similar way, guestbook comments on your most recent blog offer a respite from the heated debate on war. For just a brief moment in time you managed to draw our attention to the radiant beauty of your carissima amica Lynda and to the charms of Todi. The harsh reality of daily life is witnessed in places like Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, most of Africa, under the bridges of Rome, the slums of New York City, etc... and we should never forget them. It seems that some who follow your blog appreciated and agreed on the freshness of the “something beautiful” of your last blog entry. It in no way replaces the need to consider and debate current affairs and hard issues. Certainly I don't suggest what you should write about. I hope you better understand my comment now. I will continue to follow your blog with great enthusiasm and will try to be a more frequent contributor to the guestbook discussions. I hope you will not often find it necessary to scold me publicly for my comments. Your friend, Bob |
