MessageStrange how many immune diseases there are. Is it because they are all new or old ones that science had not yet discovered? Hmmm? Great information and links here. I am especially interested in the gluten-free diet and sites, not just for IgA deficiency but regarding my nephew's autism. They are now using yeast free and gluten and casein free diets with good results and of course treating for fungal infection. There is hope there and for IgA deficiency too. Good luck! Thanks for putting this site together! Happy days ahead! Tam smilie smilie

MessageI have a cousin who has this disease. He takes infusions of something and they make him very sick. With Aids and all the other diseases it is strange they cannot do more for this illness.I hope they can cure it. I never realized it even existed until my cousin was diagnosed. I wonder if it runs in families? I have a relative with lupus, and I have heard that there are some similarities and they are both immune system diseases. I hope they do not run in families! I will share your site with my cousin. Thank you! Hugs! Erin smilie

MessageThis is good information! Thank you! Good luck to you! My son has IgA deficiency and we have been through a great deal and I'm always grateful for any information I can get! My son's doctor is considering infusions and it scares me a lot! I've heard some real bad stories about it. My son doesn't respond well to meds and the allergy shots were making him really sick. I don't want him living on antibiotics either. The poor kid is already so isolated because we need to prevent him getting sick and I plan to home school him. He cannot take flu shots because they are based in egg and he would probably not respond well anyway. He gets a lot of respiratory infections too. I wish you ALL GOOD HEALTH and especially now that winter is on the way! Think healthy!! Luv Maryanne smilie
