| Message | This message goes out to the extended japanese community. I am searching for 2 Austrlian students who are studying Japanese to work at a Japanese ski resort in Hokkaido over the summer break. The job is working in Furano, at the North Country Inn. The job is general duties including waitering, bussing, kitchen duties; as well as guest services. Furano is a small Japanese country town, with only a handful of foreigners so this is a unique opportunity to use your Japanese in a friendly, isolated and pristine Hokkaido town. All accomodation and meals are included. Preferable if applicant is interested in skiing/snowboarding, but not essential. Please email Lee at [email protected] for more information. |

| Message | Hi there, My name is Michelle Wong and I am currently doing research under the supervision of Dr. Mark Halsey a Lecturer in the Department of Criminology. This project is part of my Honours course in the Criminology Department at The University of Melbourne. The aim of this research is to gain a better understanding of the social perceptions of the yakuza gangs from the perspective of those who identify themselves as Japanese or who have strong and ongoing familial and cultural ties with Japanese society. I am seeking people above the age of 18 who are willing to complete a questionnaire and return it anonymously in a sealed envelope. Completing the questionnaire should take 20-25 minutes and can be done at a time and place of their convenience. If anyone is interested in participating in my research for my honours course I would really really really appreciate it. You can contact me on my email ([email protected]) or even call me on #0422 350 943. Thanks, Michelle ![]() |
