MessageThe band has performed at the Larmer Tree festival twice over the past 5 years. One of the finest festivals we've done. The setting is beautiful, a very relaxed vibe and great selection of music on the bill.
We tend to play a fair bit around the South and South East Of Englandshire - we like the weather-compared to Shetland!- and also the Somerset cider.

Mark is working on creating a new tunes page for the web-site so you can learn up the fiddly-diddly bits; also, we hope to be able to extend the tracks that can be downloaded, including some rare live recordings.

Love,light and laughter

MessageI saw this band at the Larmer Tree Festival in 2000 and was blown away. Their album certainly didn't disappoint. A punchy mixture of folk, soul and lots more. Dr. Love and Edge of the World combine folk and rock instruments to perfection, and they can also play the traditional stuff like Tam Lin brilliantly. smilie Easily a five star rated band

MessageHaving sent emails to the band over the last couple of years with no reply I was beginning to think you were gone, although I have been following Inge's activities.

Great to see you back.I have heard Mark before on his own and good to see him in the line-up although Eilidh was great too.

MessageDrop the Box are amazing performers, bring real charisma to any gig they do. I've seen mark play solo, james with Hivada and Jonathan with fiddlers bid. The performances they provide with those are brilliant but as DTB they are ten times better.

MessageI saw DTB at one of their gigs in Orkney whilst on Holiday last year. It was fantastic to see them and I hope to see them at a venue near me soon. Excellent entertainment, and the way James works up the crowd is great

MessageRe: Olive's message.

Wow! You still remember us playing in Armagh 1994! That was part of our first ever DTB tour. Our van was a road hazard and the police were always stopping us as we had all kinds of Shetland dialect graffiti painted on the side like Dis'll no buy da bairn a frock and a picture of a trow masturbating! (don't ask!)
I remember the party in a flat and your hospitality was great. Many thanks! God knows when we might ever return to Ireland to play but if we do come along. aa da best, JLH x
