MessageHello from Louisisana! Lowell wanted me to originally find a recipe for pickling water melon rinds and then he asked me for shrimp recipes. We are always trying to find better ones than we already have. We like your site.

Messagedude...i love your blog. i'm down in pensacola, fl. NOLA has a special place in my heart, AND stomach. i lived there back in the early 80's.

but i digress...

"a confederacy of dunces" is one of my favorite books. i'm disappointed they still haven't made it into a film. the point? you have a great quote from ignatious, but you got it wrong w/ his middle initial. it's ignatious "P" reilly, not "J". change it forthwith or i shall have to smite ya...

i just made a batch of your olive salad...waiting a whole week to devour it may be too much to ask. unfortunately, i have a problem finding a proper muff....the 10" italian loaf is pretty scarce in these parts. i have to substitute a ciabatta (sigh).

btw, i went to culinary school....just long enough to realize i really didn't want to actually work in the industry...it was more of a life skills thing. i'm a full time artist/house husband and a Faith Healer, PRN.

like i said, love your blog. i'll be working my way through the recipes, and i promise to post feedback.

if you're ever down this way, give me a shout. we ain't NOLA, but there's some good "throw down" food here and besides, we've got kickin' beaches...
