MessageI am very proud of you two that you are adopting a baby from china. Thank you for giving one of those abandoned children a home. I am originally from china and I know there are more and more people in western countries have chinese children. I used to live in Beijing and it was very easy to see the scene that western couples holding babies in parks and streets.

USA and China are far apart, but it never blocks the red thread of love between this two countries. I am also glad that you have the chance for sightseeing this country and bring home your baby as soon as possible.
By the way, I don't know the chinese tradition of 100 wish quilt. Oops! Maybe it is the tradition of southern area in china?

MessageLisa - Being in business I understand what you are going through with all the BS that goes with dealing with the government. I loose so much time and energy in the shop trying to deal with it. In your case the work will pay off big time. You'll have something very precious in the end.

MessageHi Eammon and Lisa,

We love your blog, and I've been reading it often. We are also adopting from China and our travel will be very close to yours. We just received our I-171H yesterday and should be DTC sometime in July. I know it sounds cliche but the I-171H will come when you least expect it. We wish you the best throughout your journey.....enjoy every minute.

MessageBoth Rich and I are so very happy for you both. It was very special for me to meet you, Lisa, in Aruba! You and Eammon are very special people. I feel like we have known each other for a very long time and reconnected after so many years. I can't wait for Baby Shanahan to come to the USA smilie and meet her Aunt Angela. She is going to love Holden Beach, NC (when she comes to visit, that is.). Of course, Mommy and Daddy are invited as well. May God Bless you both for taking a Little Angel from a heartless country and giving her life, joy, nurturing, and an abundance of unselfish love! Much happiness to all those involved in this beautiful adoption -- Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Love, Ange & Rich
