MessageBleeding brakes and clutch, take a oil can with a little larger reservoir and a good vacuum hose. Make sure the oil can is clean. Fill the oil can with your favorite brake fluid. Pump it until no air is coming out of the vacuum hose. Plug the vacuum hose on the far bleeder valve (calipher on the left side), open valve and pump the brake fluid in until you see it fill the reservoir, close valve and you are done. It is easier to push air up hill than down hill. Works the same on the clutch. I've gotten so much information, so I thought I'd return some. Thank You, Nathan

MessageI'm so glad to see a site that has so much info on the SV line up.Being a first time street bike owner and a long time off road enthusiast I am always looking to upgrade and personalize my bikes. This site and all the links within have me going nuts with upgrades and performance mods, I now want to do to my SV1000. Keep up the good work guys and kudos to all who have contributed to the sites.
Thanks Alex smilie

MessageI am an experienced rider, 43 years. The SV 1000 is my 2nd new bike, the first being a Suzuki X-6 Hustler, a great motorcycle. I enjoy the SV 1000, Light as my Norton 850, with 2x HP. My only gripe is why doesnt Suzuki use this frame and engine to make a true Sport Tourer? My wife refuses to ride behind, and I can see why. Not to mention the 2nd up rider is more like a back pack. I have though of the Vstrom, but only ugly comes to mind when look at it.

MessageGoogled my way to this - just been to Suffolk and back (485 mi each way) and it's done the bike a power of good at 4000 miles - now time for the oil change. There is nothing like a big 90 degree V with close ratio upper gears! SV replaces Caponord and is far more practical. Safe riding to all.
