MessageHello-good day to you all. I became a fan of UZ when back in 1982 I heard the band CARTOON and became friends of Scott Brazial and
Herb Diamant. They were the keyboardist and bassoonist of the band-they hipped me to your music and I was immediately impressed. I know CARTOON visited you and performed with you in 1984 in Europe before their tour van was stolen. At any rate-CARTOON and UZ were the only bands I knew of that used bassoon. This experience I had back then led me to become an electric fusion-jazz bassoonist. I have performed with a lot of jazz, rock, "new music" and whatever-you-call-it types of music outside of the classical idiom. I know you don't want posts of sites but if you google me and add the word bassoon you will see what I've been up to. Right now I'm performing electric bassoon with a resident Cirque Du Soleil show in Tokyo called ZED. Again-thanks for the music and the inspiration from Michel Berckmans!!

After having the fortune of listening to your enigmatic, eerie and mysterious work live on stage at Teatro de la Ciudad in Mxico City, my senses along my musical vision expanded even broader to what your studio records already did to me. But always to me, live music is better appreciated where the tunes turn into a more devouring wholesome, the room closes in even more leaving just a little space to breathe the music.

I also have to say that all of you are such wonderful people. I had the chance to share a moment with Daniel, Martin and Michel after the concert and outside the theater. We had our pictures taken, had a drink or two and exchanged a couple of thoughts about your music. And once again, I dare to ask you to please come back even sooner than this last time.

Thank you very, very much for your beautiful music!
