| Message | Hello Mercer Family and Daniel, I am a good friend of little Jeff's. he has been keeping me posted on how Daniel is doing. I am praying for you all the time Daniel. I hope that you get better really soon. I wish that i could give you some advice on how to deal with this Daniel but i can't. The cancer that I had i did not have to have any treatments. | Message | I really hope that Daniel gets better, I didn't know him that well, I had only talk to him a couple times. But it feels like I know him so well. I guess it takes a trajedy for people to realize how important life and God's creations are. I truly are praying for him and his family and I hope that everything is well. Dear God: I want to pray right now and I want to ask for your hand of protection on Daniel. He needs you right now, but not just him, his family is going through this with him. They may not be able to physically feel the pain he is going through, but they can emotionally and mentally. I know that what you say and what you do is the best for us, even though we may not like it, so I have complete trust in you and I'm glad you are you and you are the way you are. | Message | Daniel: It's such an inspiration to read of your stamina and how mature you have been through your sickness. I read of the wonderful miracles God is doing in your life and it makes my problems seem so small. In God's great way you are affecting so many lifes. Thanks to everyone who has helped with the website as it lets us keep up to date on your progress. | Message | A student came to me with a glue gun, and we attempted to glue it back together, but it didn’t stay. I ask myself there has to be a way to put it back together, and not to give up thinking of ideas. For now, I have taped it together in hopes that it will work. I refuse to give up this bracelet and on everyday life struggles that we go through each day. This bracelet is a symbol of Daniel’s strength to never give up. ~ Daniel, not only have you opened our eyes and made us aware of our surroundings but you have inspired us to live each day no matter what struggles may come our way; we must find a way to make the pieces fit back together. | Message | continued....The bracelet became a piece of clothing, each day trying to find it, either in the clothes hamper in a dirty pants pocket, on the sink in the bathroom before going to bed, or just near my cell phone which I always new I would have with me. The bracelet began to stretch and grow and with time looked like something that had weathered the storm of everyday struggles. As I looked at the pink band, I can’t imagine the everyday struggle that Daniel has triumphed through. I felt the bracelet was a symbol of his strength. Then this week my bracelet broke. I thought, oh no – it can’t be, that can’t happen. I tried to staple it back together but it didn’t work. I asked the students what I possibly could do to save my bracelet. I refused to buy a new one, since this has been with me since the beginning. |

| Message | The Story of My Pink Bracelet I believe this story is important because the bracelet has taken a journey of many ups and downs but never gives up or goes away. Me and my pink “Daniel “bracelet started its journey together when I purchased it in the beautiful Franklin Community High School cafeteria back in November. I never saw so many people come together in spirit to show their support. I wore my bracelet to remind me of the laughs I had shared with Daniel in the classroom and always remember to keep him in my thoughts and prayers. |

I just returned from Spring Training. AJ Zapp, Andy Brown, Brian Harris, Chris Bass and other pros who you watched working with your great Dad as you grew up were closely monitoring your progress.
