| Message | Dear Mercer Family, What an ordeal you all have been going through! We will continue to pray that Daniel will make a complete recovery. We first heard about Daniel several weeks before Thanksgiving. We are in a couples Bible Study with Chuck and Ruth Mercer and they asked that we all keep Daniel in our prayers and we have certainly done that. It sounds as though this whole experience has caused so many people to come together in support of your whole family. There is certainly nothing greater than feeling the love of Christ shown through this support of family and friends and probably people you've never even met. | Message | Danny, You may not remember me, but your Dad and I are friends. I coached baseball at UK from '79-'03. I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers daily. I just found out from Coach Vittorio that I could contact you through this web-site. I know that you are a courageous young man and a great competitor. Just know that when there are days during your recovery that you don't feel like praying that there are many praying on your behalf. I spoke to the Dayton baseball team last month and got to see your brother there. I watched him hit that day and he was swingin' it pretty good. Danny, give your family my best. God bless you! Every time your mom isnt at school, it just isnt the same in class. But we know that she is there with you and she is taking care of you. I hope you get better soon. I hope you all can find joy at this time of year considering all you have gone through. We all love, support, and pray for you daily. We miss you at basketball games, but to see allof the blue bands being worn is a sign of how you all, especially you D, by the students, facility and community of Franklin. Do not hestitate to call on us if there is anything we can do. I know when Karen was fighting her battle with cancer, if we did not have the support of our family, church, and frineds I have no idea how we would have gotten through it. Just remember EVERYONE is in your corner fighting so don't hesittate to lean on us if need be. You are not in this alone. D keep up the good fight and I know you will, as you always atre, will be a winner. We love you guys.  |

| Message | Daniel & Family, You don't know me but you know my Dad and I have heard a lot about you. My Dad is bus driver Dean Irwin. Dad has spoke a lot about your family...what nice people you are, what great sports players you are, and what struggles you have been going through. I just finished reading the day to day emails and Daniel I commend your strength in all of this and want you to know that I will be praying for you and your family. I ironically found out about the daily email diary that your dad has been doing from my company intranet. I work in Lafayette for Fanning/Howey Associates and today on our intranet Tony Wood from our Michigan City office had an article about you and your family. I personally don't know Tony but I recognized your name and clicked on to read the article. It's amazing how I find out things about my hometown and it's citizens. Point being, people all over are hearing your story and thinking and praying for you. You hang in there and keep being a great example to all of us. Keep eating those White Castles too, I think your dad has a good idea about sponsorship opportunities. May all the angels watch over you and your family. Chrissy |
