| Message | Good to hear you are up and around.Mom said she saw you out and about. Sounded very scary at first.I was on my way to Perth when I heard. Went to the Perth Blues Club and saw a most amazing guitar player. Guy looks 60 wearing a pair of 5 dollar soccer shoes. Had a 60s strat and a blackface Pro-Reverb and a Echo-Plex tape delay. (actually it was a copy of an Echo-Plex, but that would be redundant)Anyway, I thought he will do some Chet Atkins and that will be cool and he did and it was. Then he starts tearing up Hendrix, closes out Hey Joe playing with his teeth! Man, I thought this is like playing golf by yourself and getting a hole in one! Name is Lindsay Wells( if you're ever there). He's a buddy of Dave Hole, also from that area.Take care, see you this summer |

| Message | Dear Earthquake, sorry it's taken so long to send you this message.....My Bro Jimmy, Don Cobbs, Bob Soto (yep Bob) and Alfred were all together last Saturday and want to give a big communal GET BETTER!!! Just like highschool, we have a new band so we had party so we could play somewhere. Last week we went and saw the reamining Beat Farmers at Pete's Place in LaMesa and Jerry Raney was playing and they brought up Jack Penny to play drums with 'em. The next week we saw Jack Butler playing at the local casino in a duo....So forty years later I go out and see the same guys playing music....Whatever happened to the lamplighters? Once again get well and take care and keep in touch! |
