I’ve known Jim for more than 35 years. I am now retired on the Oregon coast and think of him often. The last time I was in the store, I sold him a Beatle’s master collection box set vinyl at a very low price so he could make a buck. He was not doing well at that time seeing that was three years ago. I still hope he’s fighting the good fight.

MessageI was just reading a post, with a picture, about the original store. Fun memories from the 70's of shopping and listening to music, rather than go to school (not recommending ocourse). Last year I found myself looking in the mirror at a tech challenged old guy that needed a sound system. Jim and a couple of his experts held my hand and Really helped me out! I saved a LOT of money and was covered all the way through and including in-home install! Just a Great experience and all the more because it felt like the same vibe I felt 45ish years ago. MessageWent to his store in the 80's while I was there in College, then worked at Woodcutters Mfg. building Blaze King Stoves-he had all the good records, or could get it for you. Some nice high end stereo's as well. Good to hear still in business.

MessageJim is one of the coolest personalities I've ever meet. I've had the pleasure of rappin with him for around 50 years. We've exchanged stories and of course business. Jim's first store was a cmu block building that was 1/3 the size that his store is now. I loved the tunes and the aroma's in his store...long live Jim and his Bing Bang music store!!! smilie
