MessageI hope your back gets better really fast so you can get on with the things you have to do. We just have to keep moving as much as we can, don't we?

MessageWow! that is some picture your son drew. He was sure talented. Picture looks like a pro drew it, how old was Scott when he drew this? Sorry to hear you have aches and pains, take care and keep a supply of Ben Gay handy. smilie
Looking forward to the flower pictures, when and if you ever get out there to take them. Don't overdo it.

MessageThat was so thoughtful of your Aunt and Uncle to make a donation to the LBJ Wildflower center in memory of your son, Scott. I love living memorials and made sure to do this for my son and all my other family members that have gone on to that great place above. My living memorial was trees planted at a wildlife santuary. Lots of deer and all kinds of wildlife roam these many many acres. It's so peaceful to go and sit on one of the many benches throughout the park and just talk to my angels above. Thankfully I've never got caught talking to them or the white coat guys would be called smilie

MessageOh what a nice picture of your son, he was such a handsome young man. So very sad

So glad you didn't have any problems at the pool and were able to get some exercise in. Weather here today has been rather lovely, considering this is Michigan and one never knows what the day will bring. But hubby and I worked out in the yard. Lots of leaves were in the ditch and I got on my hip boots, well actually their knee boots, and got right in the ditch and racked the leaves out so the water could flow freely. Otherwise it was at a stand still. Lots of work maintaining a home. Soon it will be grass cutting time. YUK smilie

Almost forgot to mention how happy I'm that MS K went to a good home. Sounds like this lady was the perfect match for Scotts baby. I know your son is happy that his bird is in good hands.
Hugs

MessageI agree with Michael, those glass fish are beautiful. If they are sawaraski(can't spell smilie then they are worth quite a bit. But even if their not, they still are worth quite a bit. Maybe you could go on line and check to see what their running for.

MessageBonnie it brought tears to my eyes when I read how you sat on the edge of your sons bed and cried. I remember doing the same thing. Thinking this isn't real, I'm not suppose to be the one going through all his keepsakes and clothing etc. I'd look at something he'd worked so hard to achieve, another diploma in the health field and I'd wonder who besides me will want this? But yet he spent so many months working to get it.

Then there was his huge aquarium that he had spent so much money on and had some of the prettiest fish and I wondered what will I do with them. I eventually gave them back to the same pet store that sold them to my son.

But the tears flowed all throughout the weeks that I had to do the sorting and tossing. I still have boxes of his things that I just can't part with YET smilie Someday maybe, but not now. Just as you will be better off to pack up the things your not sure of and keep them till you do know what to do with them. Right now is a bad time to make decisions, so if your heart can't decide then don't....wait till your heart feels at ease then decide.

I wish I were there and could help you get through just a wee part of this, from one grieving mother to another. Our sons should have out lived us and when they don't you wonder and ask why. But no answers till we see them again, and knowing we will eases some of the pain. Time also helps with that. Big Hugs to you, Wil and your daughter.

MessageYeah, get mad!! It's as valid a reaction as anything else. And like the rest, it will probably pass, so embrace it while you're feeling it.

MessageLoved your front page or whatever it's called. It's so cheerful with those colors and I really think it's nice you have your son Scott's picture there for us all to say hello to him smilie

Today I looked at a home video of our last Christmas with our son and the tears flowed. It was soooooooooo very very hard. My heart goes out to you as your dealing with so much right now.

What a thoughtful idea of Wil's neice, to give those books to the library, in memory of your son.
