| Message | My great-grandmother was Alice Frothingham, granddaughter of John Frost and Jane Ann Dodge. Alice married James Leslie McLean, then F. M. Chambers, then Jasper Harben according to my records. I am told she was a very attractive lady. You probably know Jane Ann was the daughter of Washington Irving's sister Ann Sarah (I just found your site - haven't check Dodges). Thanks for Frothingham Family History! | Message | Great Grandmother was Florence(France) Adeline Frothingham that married Edward Clarke Hazard. Mother was Isabel Ellsworth,father was Henry R.Frothingham .Marriages records prove it . Rummer has it her Grandmother was Adeline Cook . I THINK WE NEED TO TALK. Forence(France)had 7 children,youngest was Elizabeth who married Harry Lord Powers. They had eight children,next to youngest was Helen Hazard Powers who marred Richard Earle de Butts .They had three three me being the youngest .Have the Frothingham and Ellsworth genealogies but can't hook up to your line. Frances( Florence) said she had been born in the shadow of Bunker Hill. Died in New York in 1923.My Grandmother Elizabeth died in New York in 1960. Hpe you can help make the connection. |

| Message | My grandmother, Olga Mifflin Frothingham, married Robert Paul Eckert, Jr. My grandmother moved from Boston to live in the hometown of my grandfather, Freeport, Illinois. There, they raised three children: Robert Paul Eckert, III, Olga Elisabeth Eckert (my mother), and Richard Frothingham Eckert (his surviving spouse is Nancy Knight of Massachusetts). My mother's cousins included Eugenia (Genie) Frothingham Lombard, Ellen Frothingham Dunnell Bennett (daughter of Ellen Frothingham and William Wanton Dunnell, Jr.), and Langdon. My mother married George Francis Ogilvie, Jr. (deceased). My mother has four children: Deborah Elisabeth Ogilvie, Karen Ann Ogilvie (me), George Francis Ogilvie, III, and Todd Byron Alexander. I have three nephews: George Ian Ogilvie, Evan Ogilvie, and Jack Cook Alexander. By way of summarizing the connection, they are the great-grandchildren of Olga Mifflin Frothingham. I have information about other descendants of Nathaniel Langdon Frothingham (23 July 1793 – 3 April 1870) and his wife, Ann Gorham Brooks (19 June 1797 – 5 July 1864) if anyone is interested as to the extended family's whereabouts, spouses, children, and so forth. |
