| Message | Hey butthead - Thought I'd wait for Harbin to write you - actually thought it might take more than 48 hours but...I was wrong! By the way, Ted and I both want to thank you for allowing us to entertain you (and everyone who reads these) while at the same time harrassing each other. Two for the price of one - can't beat that! I did make it to Pretty Prairie - it was terrific to see Ted and all the guys. Ted and I did get a chance to discuss you - you know what I always say "If you can't talk about someone behind their back, what good is life?!" I shared my story about telling you what that extra hole in your back meant with a few people...I sure got you good that day! I've taken a job as Head Athletic Trainer at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. It will definitely be a challenge - its one of those situations where the only place to go is quite possibly up. I just have to remember to pace myself - and at my age that could be really slow! I guess as long as I can keep volunteering at rodeos I'll survive! Sounds like you have a few challenges yourself - I'd drive up and give you a hug but as short as you are, I'd just smother you in my rack! (But what a way to go!!!!)(Can't wait to hear what Harbin has to say about that!) You know I'm doing my best to fight the fight for you in my own way so I'll keep giving it hell if you will. | Message | I'm glad you're feeling well, my friend. Lonnie and I talked about you Saturday night. Keep diggin', Shane. OK, I have some Robin news for ya. She's lost weight. She looks good. She seems happy. And no matter how hard she tried this last weekend at Pretty Prairie, she still couldn't pick anybody up. I mean, you should've seen her, Shane. She looked like a kid in the candy store with a lock on top of all the candy jars. Belt buckles were thwarting her every move. I thought I'd try to put an extra smile on your face this morning. I sure hope by boys grow up to enjoy each other as much as you and your brothers.. somedays I wonder.  .. It has cooled down some here, but still no rain.  . My dog has been doing alot of digging ,  trying to stay cool and I do not enjoy fixing his holes and keeping dirt around the deck.. I did get a new flower bed made out front this year and some lights for the deck steps.. Someday this place will look better.  . When you get home we would love it if you felt like coming over to see us...
