Wow. It's been years since I've spoken to you guys-since the rodeo days at Central High School. A lot has changed since then. It has been my pleasure, since 1998, to tell the sports guys at our station to always watch for all of your names on the day sheets, and it was my sheer joy to watch all of you continue to ride through the past ten-plus years since high school. You have all changed a lot since those days-we all do-and I know that God is honored by the men you have become. My thoughts and prayers are with you all right now. God just got Himself a heck of a hand, and I know He has already told His faithful servant, "well done". We've done a few stories on Shane at the station in the past few years, and I'll be working at the NFR again this year, where we will probably do another. It's our honor to be able to share his story. He was always very clear about for whom he rode, and that it was all to God's glory. I hope we always accuratly reflected that. In a life cut too short here on earth, he built a powerful legacy, and God will continue to honor and use that.
With Love and Prayers, Amanda (Puckett) Greslin

Hi, I live in the panhandle of Nebraska and don't know you guys and didn't know Shane. I heard of him on TV during the finals of the PBR. What a testament of the kind of person and friend he was to everyone, especially Cory N. to mention it during the finals and speak of him so kindly. I read all of the entries on the site and was moved by them. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my sister and best friend after a lingering illness and while you are glad their suffering is over, your selfish side wants them back with you. I will hold you in my prayers.

Remember me when flowers bloom early in the spring. Remember me on sunny days, in the fun that summer brings. Remember me in the fall, as you walk through the leaves of gold. And in the winter time, remember me in the stories that are told. But most of all remember each day - right from the start - I will be forever near, for I live within your heart.

As we begin this journey without Shane, we will never forget the ways in which he touched our hearts. Whether it was with a smile from the ground or a smile from a bull, he knew how to warm our hearts by just a smile.
Jesse and Chad, be strong for him as well as yourselves. Cherish the days you had with him and look forward to the days until you can see him again. Live the life he yearned for. I pray each day will provide you with more strength and laughter in remembering the wonderful man we all admired.
Although death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
All the best to the family, may it only get easier in the days to come.
