| Message | I want to tell you how sad I was-when I heard that Shane has passed. But gosh-what a powerful life he lived. He touched and connected with so many people-gave alot of hope and encouragement to people he didn't even know. Brought alot of people together in prayer. All the notes he posted on this website-never bitter, never bitter-just making the best of every situation. I'm trying to learn from that, and its hard. I have been divorced for almost six years-raising two daughters on my own-we would go months without ever hearing from their father. My daughters and I rode horses together-took them to alot of open and high school rodeos-both of'em rodeo queens. I lived and breathed for those girls. Their father after all this time-is suing me for custody of the girls. He never could remember to send a xmas card-or call on their birthday-I don't understand it, and have just about drove myself over the edge with worry. I hope you can send alittle prayer this way. Chad your doing a good job with this web site. I would love to have a tape or dvd of the memorial for Shane. If you are back in Texas-you are lucky-because this Baytown Texas girl wants to go home-n out of here-until later-I will try not to be so  and more  Your friend-down where 69 crosses 40 in checotah |

We shared alot of Shane stories last night with family and friends -- Litlle Shane was reliving some pretty funny moments between the two of them -- I yelled at them alot -- we miss you guys and are thinking about you and the rest of your family today. Having gone through the death of my father I can tell you that the first year is the toughest as you go through the special times that each year affords us. Relive those memories as that will help them stick in your minds and your hearts forever. We love you boys and look forward to the time when we will be together in Texas once again. Shelley |

| Message | To the family of Shane Drury, Happy Thanksgiving. You have so much to be thankful for on this day, I am sure there are going to be times that you will be very sad. But he is still with you in spirit. It is hard I know as I lost my dad to cancer on June 2,2006. It hurts so badly at times. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to go THROUG.But I still kept watching Shane’s web sight when I was at home in Omaha. He alot of times gave me strength and hope. He lived in Rural O'Neill and was a farmer and a horse race man for many years. Chad and Jesse you two brothers are heroes in my eyes. Shane was very blessed to have had you. I will be very anxious to read a book about Shane. You all are very special in my book. Keep up the good work guys, as Shane is your guiding light.He is doing a great job. God Bless You All. |
